Is the light in the ashtray replaceable?

It would be handy if I could replace it with a brighter LED as I use it for keeping loose change, and it's impossible to see what you're fishing out in the dark.

Is the bulb replaceable so that I can fit a brighter LED?

Mine does work, it's just that it's pretty dim and is a bit useless when trying to fish out some change in the dark.

The latest white bulbs (IIRC, they are called crystal clear) are slightly brighter, but not by much.

The bulb itself and the connector are encased in a plastic block that is designed to clip onto the ashtray. There is no way to replace just the bulb itself.

Dunno if this helps, but it's the same in my Octavia but I've found that if you get a pair of snipe pliers you can withdraw the rear pins which means you can just replace the bulb like for like. 12v 5mm bulb, pick your colour and brightness.
