I picked up a replacement rear wiper blade from the dealers today. Part number is the same as:

firstly, I'm a bit frustrated that its plastic and not metal like the original, but more to the point, the slot in the blade seems smaller than the arm, and the spindle on the blade seems larger than the previous blades'.

It didn't seem to want to go on, even with some force behind it, am I just not 'trying' hard enough?

I'm starting to think it might be a less than standard arm, it certainly doesn't look like picture 1 in this:

yet it doesn't look like the outcome either (nor does the blade look like the VW-aero style blades!)... As the cap needs changing anyway I need to replace the arm at some point. I'm wondering if its just easier to order a standard arm now.

Certainly I think I'll be fixing this with tape for the holiday.

I'll try and post a picture tomorrow, I'd be grateful if anyone can identify the arm.

Keep it original, better all round in the long run.
