Offset question

Featured Replies

Currently been have some light vibration, rubbing noise on my car. Now I noticed this a few days after fitting a set of steel wheels. Checked the out et numbers and there 6.5J x 16 ET 42 could this cause any problems as I kknow the fabia alloys are ET 35

Btw I know nothing about wheel offset, spacers etc.

Cheers Stephen

Your news wheels are now sitting to far into the arch. Probably rubbing arch or even suspension parts.

7mm spacers should sort it. (look on eBay, you'll see what they do)

Standard steelies are ET42 (spare wheel)

IIRC If you keep the offset between ET32-42 You shoudn't encounter any problems!

Im running some seat leon cupra alloys on my fabia and they are 42 offset too, no problems at all with them although they are 7's not 6.5

Still thinking of getting some 5mm spacers on though, but finding hubcentric 5mm spacers is not easy!
