Columbus Expert Required

Featured Replies

Right you Columbus experts - I wanted to put a postcode into the unit, but as soon as I had got the first part of it in Columbus decided to give me the list of available postcodes that started with that first bit. Well that sounds OK apart from the fact my postcode wasn't in there and no matter what I tried it wouldn't let me manually enter the complete postcode so I ended up in the middle of nowhere !

How can I bypass the automatic selection it gives you and just manually enter a whole postcode without any interference ???

Sigh.....its not much to ask is it ?

If the postcode does not come up then its not on the map, so entering the complete postcode will be pointless as it will never find it. This usually happens if you are in a new or newish build and the roads have not yet been handed over to the local highways agency, because until they have been they will not appear on any maps.

Not quite the answer I was hoping for

Have you updated yours to v7 maps? You picked up yours before me so will only have v6.x. Give James a call at Allams and see what he can do to help as you bought from him.....I had to have mine updated after I picked up Elsie the Helipad.

Mike

If you update the maps to V7 you'll find that the post code facility is greatly improved.

Although I don't have Columbus in my Yeti, I wonder if it costs to get a map upgrade?
