Featured Replies

hello all.

i clean my vrs on a weekly bases, and notice that there is a few little spiders coming through above the number plate on the boot. also the underside off the plastic side strips has bubbled too. has anyone had the same problems with there vrs.

does anyone know how long the corrosion warranty lasts?? and what is the procedure are?

cheers Ant

I'm currently fighting skoda and the dealerships at the minute........all i can say is they are very slippery so i wouldn't hold your breathe on the warranty because they are throwing everything up to try and put me off.......unluckily i found out that my car has had "spray work" carried out which they wont divulge what exactly was carried out (HPI CLEAR) and it was organised by my main local skoda dealership for the previous owner as a sales agreement. Skoda UK have said that it should have been repaired by an authorised agent but then it isn't covered under the warranty because it wasn't a warranty claim which i think is *******s tbh!

I have had the previous owners story of the events and he says there was only plastics resprayed, nothing is helping tbh so i'm thinking of getting in touch with trading standards as they are just being very awkward about everything.

They are sayin it comes down to workmanship but they wont divulge where the repair took place.....warranty have knocked it back therefore i am awaiting there response to see if they'll cough up for an independent inspector.

You have to take your car to the dealership for them to take photos and send off to skoda uk, the warranty i'm sure is 10 year as when i stated this on the phone nobody disagreed.

The way it is looking the full back end of my car is going to need resprayed and rust fettled in several spots

I'll say good luck but my scenario has been going on 5-6 week now and i'm not much further forward.....

I had mine done under warranty but a year later it's going the same way

Any pics of this? So I know what to look out for?
