Someone point me in the right direction?

Featured Replies

Hello,

I won a set of 312mm brakes from a Mk4 golf on eBay & should have them by the end of the week.

I still need to get discs and pads been looking all night on where to get... can anyone suggest where the best place is for them?

Also my car had its annual service not long ago and the car is due a brake fluid change I was going to be charged something stupid so decided against it... So I am going to change the fluid the same time as the brakes... what fluid does everyone use?

Cheers,

Andrew.

GSF/Euro Car Parts/Jorrily/Dealer/other Motorfactor but stick to Pagid/Ferrodo/Mintex parts

I use DOT 4 brake fluid (any brand name) on my 2005 Fabia VRS.

As to discs check-out E-Bay.

Another question regarding this topic.

I'm looking at discs for an octavia vRS... a 2004 1.8T and a 2007 2.0L I take it there different discs altogether as they have different part numbers?

for example

Pagid Brake Disc (Front) Part No.: 104441508

Pagid Brake Disc (Front) £47.40

Skoda Octavia 2.0 (2008)

Pagid Brake Disc (Front) Part No.: 104440858

Pagid Brake Disc (Front) £40.20

Skoda Octavia 1.8 (2004)

Should I be looking at getting Mk4 golf discs as that is what the calipers are off of?

I may sound stupid asking such questions but I just dont want to be buying something thats no use!

does anyone know if those discs and pads would fit on the Fabia with the 312mm carriers and calipers?

Well the pcd is different between the mk1 and mk2 octavias, 5x100 vs 5x112 so I imagine that might put something of a spanner in the works.
