Question about the Bolero & phones

Featured Replies

Actually two questions:

1) Are the shortcuts in the Phone section of the Bolero display separate from the speed dial numbers on the connected phone?

2) If the answer to 1) is yes then is there any way of entering a pause in a phone number stored as a shortcut?

The amnswer is yes to the first question, they are manually configurable and don't even have to be an entry on your phone.

For the second part, I'd uggest trying a comma to enter a Pause as that's the standard way it's done.

If not, try the letter P

Page 19 and 20 of the Bolero manual gives you more info but it does say that you can open an editing field for inputting special characters.

Thanks, that is helpful.

Hmm, can't see a way to enter either of those.

I think that only applies to the Name field of the shortcut.

I've just noticed that you have to have a GSMIII kit to be able to enter DTMF tones once a call is active. My understanding is that the Yeti only has the GSMII kit. That rules out that option, then!

I shall continue experimenting...

Well, I now know that I definitely can enter DTMF tones via the soft keypad in the Bolero's Phone function (even on calls placed via the Maxidot). So either I do have the GSMIII kit, or the manual is wrong.
