Bushes and Suspension.

Featured Replies

I'll be honest, I'm lazy and havn't phoned around getting quotes for how much this will cost.

I live in Southend, and want to know ROUGHLY how much it is going to cost me to get the bushes replaced/upgraded and also have coilovers fitted. I already have a set of Weitec coilovers in mind so I'm already aware of the cost of buying them but not how much fitting would be, with the bushes done at the same time.

I had a quick read up on people using Audi TT lower arms, but am I right in thinking these have to be matched to TT hubs aswell? I can only imagine this causing issues when taking them to a garage as they're not usually too happy to mess with aftermarket/non-standard parts.

Thanks

Yeah, you need TT hubs in order to get the cast wishbones aligned properly.

As for the bushes, I paid 240 quid for the rear beam bushes and front wishbones to be chaged, including parts. That was a couple of years ago though, and on a toledo, but that doens't make much difference TBH.

I have a pair of octy wishbones with superPRO bushes fitted. Just swap them.

Cost me 240 too for them and labour.and alignment.

You don't NEED tt hub assemblies mate. But without them you need to custom allign it but with the tt asseys you do it to tt spec. To take adv of the tt arms you should get them

Believe me the are ace and mine is still not fully aligned correct yet

Just to add I have just done the tt ones myself using old stuff off the car lol. Have a look at my long weekend of maintenance thread mate.
