My fabia vrs 06 with blt engine has weird symptoms. The engine light is on and the diagnose tells that something with the egr is wrong.

I have cleaned the egr, maf and map sensors, intercooler, and replaced the feul filter,and cleared the codes, but there is stil no smoke from the exhaust, and there is no punch at 1700rpm. Though I have higher mpg, and the turbo is running, I m concerned of where the soot goes.

Anyone had these problems or ideas?

Have you changed your panel filter?. I replaced mine with a green panel filter and now have virtually no smoke from the rear. My tailgate is cleaner!. I might be getting a better fuel air mix or it may be running leaner. Either way I like no soot.

No I havent changed it since the last service.
