PCD Adaptors

Featured Replies

Has anyone used PCD adaptors before ? Any make recommended ?

I've found a new set of wheels but they don't come in 5x100 :@ so I'm looking at some adpators for the wheels that are 5x112 and really wanting the slimmest available.

Any info appreciated :)

You have to get a minimum thickness to house the top of the bolts that go onto the hub. Everyone recommends the FK ones, 15mm min i think

Those were the ones I was looking at, originally looked at the H&R ones and there double the price :o

Thanks

I`v spent a morning reading up on them today as it happens. From all the searches & reading it seems as long as they are alloy & not heavy steel then they should be ok. Most threads point towards FK`s as being decent & a reasonable cost.

I was dubious at first, but from what i`v read i might go for them in the end

Those are the exact ones I was looking at and they seem to be pretty decent with good reviews after a quick google.

Thanks Matt

I've got 3 pairs of FK ones for my porsche twists (5x100 to 5x130 in 20mm, 25mm & 35mm) - they were all perfect.

No wheel wobble, no probs at all, felt like driving on a standard set of wheels.

I loved my twists and the only reason they are currently off the car is because of the rarity value of the BBS RKs that it's currently wearing B)

Thanks Gareth :)

FK's it is then, I just need to get my head round what ET will be best with the adaptors.

whats the ET of the wheels?

With the twists, I had ET20 at the front. As you're low on coilovers, I wouldn't advise going further than that.

Ive got a set for sale if you wanted them 25mm thick f&k only on my car for 2 weeks pm me if you want a cheaper deal.

From the website the wheels go from ET15 to ET42

My current wheels are ET35 so the new wheels would need to be ET50 when using a 15mm adaptor to make them ET35 ?

Not sure if I've got that right

Yeah that's right. But I'm pretty sure you can run lower offset than that. I'm looking at et52 then a 25mm spacer lol

Matt

The lowest final et thats comfortable is 20/25!

Thats that sorted then thanks everyone

my audi wheels are 48 offset with15mm adapters making them 33 offset and the look good as they are, its trial and error really

Thanks Tom, I'm going to see if a higher ET is available than 42 then were sorted :)

yeah i think the thinnest adaptor you can really fit is 20mm, especially as the rear hub has a big lip on it

so ET42 wheels with 20mm adaptors will be your best bet, giving a final et of 22

this is me running ET30 at the rear but its on a 8.5" rim

i ran the front at ET20 on a 7" rim...

the wheels did scrub marginally now and again but was nothing too serious, didnt scrub the tires etc

Thanks Jason, the wheels are 7.5" wide I believe and im wanting to use the thinnest adaptor so they don't stick out as much.

i think 15mm will be the thinnest youll get, i had to get a spare set of wheel bolts aswel and ccut them down because they went thru the wheel and adapter and bottomed out on the disk before they went tight, it you bolt your adapters to the wheels youll see what i mean and youll see how much you need to trim them down by

Ahh yes I see what you mean, I'll remember that and see how things go :)
