1.6 CR tdi tyre wear

Featured Replies

I have read that the tyre wear on the 170CR is not good at around 14K for the fronts, but what could you expect from the 1.6 CR ???

and the 1.9 tdi

My 1.9Tdi hatchback has almost covered 80,000 miles in 16 months, during which time, it has had 6 replacement tyres. At present, the fronts are down to 3mm (Michelin Primacy), while the rears (Goodyear EfficientGrip) are at 6mm).

The factory fitted Michelin Energy tyres lasted over 30,000 miles (rotated front to rear) and are almost as grippy as the Michelin Primacy's. The Goodyears have scrubbed on the rear axle and have a softer compound than than the Michelins.

I generally drive with the car unloaded (ie. just the driver).
