hi i was thinking about getting a regas but before i went i noticed the clutch on the aiecon isnt engaging.is this a common fault as there dosnt seem to be a live going to the clutch. its a 2000 plate tdi estate

iirc, the clutch on the aircon pump won't engage if the gas level/pressure/(what-ever) is too low. Thus get the gas checked, and if when they weight the old gas there is virtually nothing there you should hopefully be ok (apart from maybe having a leak/dried out seals in the system).

Not sure if VAGCOM will log an error for low A/C gas levels or not....
