Afternoon all,

Just bought my first Skoda, a 2003 Octy Estate 1.9 TDI (66KW - 90BHP?) in black and replacing an old family friend (2000 Citroen Xantia 2.0 HDi) which was wiped out by a tarted-up pickup - grrrr. Still getting used to the Octy but early impressions are good.

I'd like to hear from others with experience of this particular beast, but I also have some very specific questions regarding roof bars/rack, towbar, tonneau cover, glove box handle etc. which I'll post as separate topics in the appropriate places.

From what I've read of the forum so far it's a good place to be - even though I'm unlikely to do any serious pimping ...

BTW based near Chorley in Lancashire.
