  1. That's a very short consist. Is that the usual?
  2. Ditto on our Octavia Scout. Mainly on the offside but lumpy roads also.
  3. Did the harbour seals show up?
  4. A known candidate is the connection between feed pipes for the screenwasher, IIRC pax side boot to rear of the wheel arch. There are numerous discussions regarding same on here - worth a search. BTW does the leak water look/feel like what you're putting into your screenwash reservoir under the bonnet? Another leak candidate would be the tailgate seal, but that would only appear after getting rained on (or carwashed).
  5. This image is not from a forum member but caught my eye : There's a good page full of images of Scotland on the Beeb this morning: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ce8j873e660o
  6. Another possibility if you don't expect to use a Rivnut tool in the future is a manual version - just a nut and bolt and some grunt power (a long handled wrench is helpful). Here's an M6 one on aliexpress for example: https://www.aliexpress.com/ssr/300000512/BundleDeals2?productIds=1005012182413869%3A12000057813458459&pha_manifest=ssr&_immersiveMode=true&disableNav=YES&sourceName=SEARCHProduct&utparam-url=scene%3Asearch%7Cquery_from%3A%7Cx_object_id%3A1005012182413869%7C_p_origin_prod%3A&pvid=c1abb190-ef27-476f-a373-90befdcb3ef6
  7. As a purchaser of the one-handed nut setting tool I can support this recommendation. Think "pop rivet pliers" on steroids!
  8. Rivnut or Threadsert should sort it for you.
  9. ^ She's a bit too far north to collect Columbus. I hope someone managed to get a message to him ...
  10. Welcome aboard! I'm sure we'll find plenty of ways to pick your brains as time goes on BTW I wish my German was as good as your English ...
  11. Worth framing IMO
  12. How about a Stormy Petrel?
  13. There's a brace of those guys in the wood behind me, and every morning they hold a competitive hammering event round about dawn. I suppose it helps the crows wake up ...
  14. There's nothing coming up on the usual go-to for parts - lllparts.co.uk - but both part codes show up on skoda-parts.com, along with lists of the applicable vehicles. Hopefully these will help clear the fog a little. https://www.skoda-parts.com/spare-part/1k0937087h-control-unit-skoda-28666.html https://www.skoda-parts.com/spare-part/1k0937087pz00-central-control-unit-skoda-27602.html
  15. That would likely be a decider for me.
