White smoke with a hint of blue.. HELP

Featured Replies

Hi guys, i recently brought a damaged VRS and im slowly sorting it out back to its former glory..

So today I went out to sort the issues with the steering angle sensor due to it having crash data stored.. In order to do this the car needed to be driven a short distance...

After sorting the issue up and parking the car up, there was quite a bit of white smoke coming out the exhaust with the odd very light tint of blue... it also smelt weird and left a horrible after taste after breathing in the air.. and it carried on smoking for a while, if I pressed on the revs a poof of black soot would come out, and then back to white...

As for warning codes off vcds, there was one for 00819 - High pressure sensor (G65), 01598 - Drive battery voltage signal too low, 00778 - Steering angle sensor (G65), and just some airbag faults.

Any advise would be great as things just seem to be adding up!

What's the temp gauge at when running engine for bit?
