Octavia TDI 4X4 Estate 06 plate

My rear wiper has stopped working. Fuse looks ok. How does the rear trim detach from the tailgate ? (i assume this has to be removed to check the motor). Any known faults ?

the boot trim just pulls off, i managed to prise it off with a screwdriver, i didnt manage to remove my rear wiper as i couldnt detach the spindle through the rear window, hope you have better luck.

Chances are the motor has failed. I had to replace mine last week apparently it's a common problem

Need to remove mine for a different reason - do the clips that (presumably) hold it on survive removal or do new ones need to be fitted to replace?

It pulls off and then slides upwards the clips should survive
