Engine Mounts Information Needed

Featured Replies

Hi guys. Been trawling through a number of threads on here (all morning) regarding engine mounts and before you all jump down my throat about it being mentioned before I can't find the exact information I'm looking for. Most of the threads are incomplete leaving questions unanswered.

My gearbox mount has gone sloppy and while changing that I would like to change all the engine mountings. Whats the deal with uprated ones? Can I buy a "full kit" of mountings? I don't want anything ridiculously stiff (shaking my teeth out) but would like them a little stiffer than standard. Where can I get these from if available? What price am I looking at?

Thanks

Custom dogbone mount is available, but I've never seen custom engine mounts. I would expect them to be about £100 each and you need all new bolts as well.

Hello see my full post inc EDIT here

This should help!! B)

Vibratechnics do complete uprated mounts for all the Three mounts on the engine/gearbox the bodywork...very firm and really for track work and expensive (well very good prices for race spec stuff..but for road...not really) B)

This is the info for VW POLO but the same as Fabia!!

Poly engine mounts - lower bracket

My Vibratechnics were just over £300 for the pair (already have poly bushed lower bracket), very firm but not excessive!!
