Octavia VRS FL drivers side window switch problem

Featured Replies

The drivers side switch in my 2010 VRS is 'sticky', its as if some soft drink got in which has made if difficult to depress or control window height adjustment. Its worse when the car is cold, after a while its easier to manipulate. Anyone got any suggestions on a fix - i.e. new switch module, clean the mechanism, use contact cleaner spray to loosen up the mechanism without taking the door off? All other window switches work just fine.

Sounds like a warranty issue to me, unless you did pour soft drink in to the switches? :p

Liberally spraying contact cleaning on the switch from the outside while rocking it to and fro freed up the mechanism nicely, job done.
