Dension ICE Link Plus

I haven't seen that one but I know Alpine do a similar unit that connects via AiNet.

Yo yo yo mofo's I'm back !

Yeah I was lookin at one of these for my iPod in me rover, however am still a bit unsure about how it manages playlists and the like... it seems that for some stuff it's still preferable to have the iPod in view, I know that john and myself were thinking of having the iPod tucked away somewhere nice and warm (or in the case of you lot with ur air con glove box not so warm!)

I was thinking of just fitting my iPod in my centre arm rest and running the headphone remote somewhere in arms reach and then pluggin the aux input then to the head unit... then I'd get play/pause and skip/search... if you have a few decent playlists then this wud prob be ok....

ICE link does provide some nice stuff tho, like puttin the iPod in pause mode when you turn off or change source on ur head unit which is good and it charges the iPod.. (could always get a charger tho)

Any one got one or seen one working?

From the sounds of it it plugs into the oem head unit cd changer port. You can then control your ipod like its a cd changer.

Looking at this link, is there an available part which would work in a Fabia's Symphony unit? They seem only to refer to Skoda Grundig units

I'd be looking at the Dock Cable. Has anyone gone down this route?

The Symphony units are manufactured by Grundig ;)

Ahhh! *penny drops*

Just thought they would have noted the models of the stereo on the list, made it easier, like they've done with the Audi ones...

Steve

does anyone know what the sound is like?

I've got a transpod fm transmitter and it doesn't sound anywhere near as good as cd's.
