Strange Judder...

Featured Replies

Going for a drive yesterday, I was doing 60mph in 4th gear, went up to 5th gear and the car juddered as if it was going to stall, as if the clutch hadn't caught...dropped down to 4th again and kept the rev's up, it was fine, then up to 5th again same thing happened.

Drove for 30 secs or so in 4th and went back to 5th - everything was fine and has been ever since?!

Any ideas?

Scared me a little bit that the clutch was going - but it's only 4 years old!

Was the judder low in the rev range, 1500 to 2500rpm? Mine has been in and out of the garage for 6 weeks with this fault after they changed an injector...I'll find out what it was.

The judder on mine turned out to be yet another failed injector!!! That's 3 now!!! My garage's supplier has 27 injectors on the shelf ready to dispatch, at £500 a pop you don't keep that many in stock unless you know there's a fundamenatl problem!!!

Skoda/Audi/VW/Seat....when are you going to accept that the PD injectors are downright dangerous when the catastrophically fail and issue a recall to get them sorted. Their attitude shows greed and a blatant disregard for safety!

Rant over!!!

Hmmm...any other symptoms? It hasn't done it again since, but I keep getting the feeling something's not quite right - what should I be looking out for?
