Rear Hub Nut Part Number

Featured Replies

Hello,

Does anyone know what the part number is for the 30mm 12 point hub nut that is on the rear hub? Also, can someone advise where to get them from? Need to know as i am going to be fitting EZ Shims to the axle in order to change the camber of the rear wheels.

Any advise is appreciated.

Cheers guy's

 Nice one pal, will do!

I didn't realise the rear hubs had a hub nut as there is no driveshaft to secure to.

This is the pic that i have for the rear hub:

That pic is correct and so is the torque setting of 70Nm (52lb ft) plus 30deg turn!

All Fabia's have a "Stub" axle (discs or drum brake systems)....I should know having removed and stripped from the car the whole suspension......and then laid it out on the conservatory floor......mum wasn't best pleased...as I did it at her place :giggle:

Ha ha, nice one fella, i can understand that your mum wasnt best pleased with you!!! :giggle:

hub nut goes right onto stub axle

really easy to remove and get the rear bearing out too

:)

shouldnt be too difficult doing the EZ Shim kit :)

Rear Hub nut part no = N90654501 Cost £5.13 each from invoice dated April 2007 when I did mine!! B)

MINT, many thanks fella!!!

If anything on (my original measured with socket) Fabia VRS the rear hub nut is 32mm, it resembles the front to look at) the front hub nut 36mm being of a different size.
Picture attached.
Needed a thin walled socket to get it undone, so purchased a Laser socket set, with 30 / 32/ 36mm in a blue box.
Have seen different shaped rear hub nut on different models of Fabia's, with the nut having flats to outer edge.

Picture as correctly corrected is a front hub nut, by fellow member, (but outer contact nut points the same). Thanks.

Photo attached of two different locking nuts, albeit both with same inner diameter and threads, but different outer nut sizes.

Silver 30mm with brass coloured being a very slack 30mm, so probably 28/29mm ??  (Updated 15/11/2013)

No that pic is of the front nut!!! The rear hub nut does not have the break of wings or tube thead and is actually a nyloc nut with 12 points and a large built in flange/fixed washer! B)

Some of the early front hub nuts were different and known as "plated" nuts, these should be replaced with the later 12 point nut!!!! B)
