Heard an "official" rumor last week that Å koda will have (at least for Superb) a new 4yr/150.000km warranty applied to all cars manufactured since somewhere in June...

Has anyone more info?

Jannes

If that was 150,000 miles not Ks I would buy one today, they can easily achieve that and more without any major problems.

So if they said 5 years or 150,000 miles they would blow the competition out of the water

If you read the Skoda website they actually only provide a 2 year warranty, it is Skoda UK who provide the 3 year warranty.

Even if it happens soon in Europe, It'll never happen for a long while in the UK.... :(

Al.

Why So pessimistic - if this will be the official policy I wonder why should it not be valid in UK?

Please read my posting through again. I meant that: "The manufacturer supplies a new lenghtened warranty term"

At current we've in Estonia also 2 yrs. unlimited or 4 years/100.000km, of which local rep. is adding two years... so what?! I think you should be grateful that you have more warranty than Å koda itself offers.

It will be interesting if the Skoda manufacturing plants change their warranty as they make/use parts that are common to all VAG vehicles. That would suggest that a part manufactured in a Skoda factory is covered by a 4 year warranty no matter if it ends up in an Audi or a Seat and parts made in other non Skoda VAG factories would have to change their warranties.

Or are you suggesting that it is only vehicles assembled in Skoda factories that will get the new warranty?

I heard this regarding Å koda Superb. There was no specification whether this applies to all Å kodas (although I do believe so) or maybe even all VAG products.

If I see him, I'll ask for more details.
