Fabia Climate control problem

Featured Replies

Hi everyone i just purchased a used 2008 Fabia estate 1.4TDI level 1. The car has the basic climate control system with Air Con fitted as an extra, when reverse gear is engaged the climate control fan blows louder ( exactly the same as if the recirculate button was pressed under normal conditions ) but the recirculate button led stays off. Please can you tell me if this is normal? ( which i doubt ) What would be causing this problem? I have 6 months dealer warranty left on the car what do you guys suggest that i do?

Hi Lecousi, this is normal! When you reverse re-circulate is automatically selected, but doesnt light up the indicator. The theory is that if you are reversing you dont want to be sucking your own exhaust fumes into the car, so it switches to recirculate.

Hmmm interesting to know

Yeah Mk1 Fabia's did this too. Thought there was a fault the first time it did it but it's normal

You'll love this car although as a louder than average noise 3 cylinder you will find it economic and gutsy I have the 70 bhp and pulls like a beaut so happy days
