Hi

My 2000 Fabia 1.4mpi drivers door lock jammed today with the key in and turned to horizontal in the act of locking the doors. I eventually got the key to turn but now it just spins with no mechanical resistance and no activity as far as locking/unlocking doors. From the inside the drivers door remains locked regardless of whether the others are unlocked (central locking works for all other doors) but pulling the drivers door lever to open it feels like it is opposing an unseen force, does not open the door and whilst the lock peg lifts to show it unlocking when i pull the lever, it immediately springs back down when i let go. Any ideas how to get the door open and then what to do next? I am inexperienced but good at dismantling.

Hi found this post whilst googling the same problem. happened to my car yesterday the drivers door will not open at all, lock spins. how did you sort it out?
