Mk5 Golf GTI with a good remap, all the car you'll ever need

Heretic! emoticon-0104-surprised.gif

Surely you meant to say 'Octavia vRS' instead? emoticon-0143-smirk.gif

Anyway, I'll take your GTi and raise you an Edition30. Nicer stock kit.... and turbo ;)

Of course, that's what I meant...must have had a Freudian slip of some sort :smirk:

massive on power understeer

Anything with an open diff or any semblance of a road setup will.

Unless it has electronic help to reduce the power or not enough power to start with.

Problem with the golfs is ££££. An Astra is a good 20% cheaper. Thats a fair few go-faster bits.. or years of insurance!

And id avoid frenchies - great hot hatch but not so reliable. The hotter meganes are tempting tho.

What are you thinking now with all negative vibes for the Astra Jimi?!?!

I'm thinking of staying well clear now;)

I shall just keep looking. I love my fabia but feel it could be time to move on soon.

Starting to turn into a bit of an urban myth that one.
