hi has anyone had this problem with their bolero radio, twice when i start the raddio screen goes blank although the music is still playing from whatever i had selected when i turned the ignition off on the screen there seems to be three thin vertical lines, red, blue, green after i stop and turn the ignition off and wait 10 or so secs i switch back on and the scren is working again this has happened twice within a couple of weeks.

Possibly a faulty unit. If you can take a photo or a short video of it and take it to a dealer. Explain the problem and show them the photo so they know what the problem is, if you can replicate the fault so then how to replicate it.

Should be able to get you a replacement unit, although I believe there are supply issues with Bolero and Columbus units at the moment.

I think the norm with a replacement radio is likely to be a 'reconditioned unit' although someone might know different.

Mine is playing up (when on radio 4 skips to a radio 2 type station but doesn't then recognise its on it and have to change to radio 3 to then get it back to radio 4. Comes and goes so difficult to replicate on demand.

Holding off seeing dealer until I find out if you do get a reconditioned unit.

Mmmm ... I had a problem with the screen the other day. Usually, if I adjust the air con temperatures, the screen displays the figure for a few seconds so that I can see what I'm doing without squinting at the dial. This stopped working, no screen display. Not an 'essential', so just carried on with the journey. Later, I stopped and turned off the engine. Turned back on again, problem gone. So far no repetition.

Sounds like the problem I have (very) ocassionally with my Humax PVR. Every so often it freezes, with only a sitch off/switch on solving the problem. Given that they're both basic variations on a theme ( i.e. computers) it's not surprising.

I've had the exact problem with my Bolero, only happened once...
