Just wanted to let you all know that today I recieved my new Octavia Elegance Estate 2.0 CR Tdi, from a nice bloke called Shane who'd driven it down to Hertfordshire from DM Keith in Leeds on the back of a low loader.

From the date when my order was placed to today was a total of 69 days (or 9 weeks and 6 days), which was a hell of a lot better than the original 6 months quoted to me back in March. Is this a record??

I just went for metallic with full BT integration (don't know if this is a popular spec). I don't quite know where SUK get their leadtimes from. Is this just pure luck or are the deliveies coming back down to a more realistic level across the board?

Either way, I'm a happy chappy!

Record? Nowhere near! Got mine in 10 days. Could have been much quicker but some paperwork had got lost and they couldn't register it.

By pure coincidence they had almost the spec I wanted sitting there in stock, in the showroom (had a few extras that I wouldn't have bothered with).
