I've used a few places in Sheffield, Dronfield and Chesterfield on my Skoda Fabia and now Octavia. So far been most impressed with Statller in Attercliffe. They're a Porsche and VAG specialist and I think the technicians / mechanics are all ex Porche or VAG. They're part of the same business as Autorads - a parts specialist and use the same phone number. See http://www.autorads.co.uk/ or http://www.statller.com/ (the Statller website is definitely a work in progress though).

Only had the car in to replace broken Aircon compressor there but they found a spot for me on a bank holiday weekend and a few hours later, I was back up and running with cold air. The quote came in £300 cheaper than the nearest two main Skoda dealers or local aircon specialist and they used genuine parts. Still running extremely well a few weeks later.

I had a chat with the technician about my Octy limp problem when I picked the car up. Seemed very knowledgeable and with the benefit of hindsight was probably right about what was causing my limp issue.

Definitely plan to use them again - maybe even to get the limp sorted.

Cheers I'll give them a try! I've got a limp mode problem on my octy so they sound perfect!!

Had a further chat with them today. They said that if a turbo clean is required they could take it off and send it to a place in Wakefield that's done it for them before.

I'm just waiting to hear from a couple of other places before deciding whether to pull the trigger. Needs a full service too so hoping somewhere will take it off my hands and do the lot for not too much money. If not, it'll probably have to be just the service for now.
