Out with the old - in with the new

Featured Replies

At last after almost 7 months of waiting, hoping (and a bit of praying) I have finally collected my Yeti - a 170 4x4 elegence in Bright Silver.

Since I ordered the car in late October my company has been through a lot of changes, which ended up in a management buy out, that then took 4 and a bit months to go through, and whilst all this was going on my car was getting nearer to build date, eventually my directors agreed I could have the car I wanted - particulally as the leasing company wanted the old one back - fortunatly my main director is a petrol head and is quite keen on the Yeti - in fact he has told me he wants to borrow it when it snows !! - I have told him I won't be going anywhere near the office between November and March !!

So today I drove the 200 miles to Bridgewater and collected the Yeti, (leasing company supplier) then another 100 odd miles to Berkshire where I am working tomorrow. Most impressed so far, went out for a 'spin' this evening to try out the lights, in some of the lanes around my hotel, love the cornering headlights!!

Sadly I had to say goodbye to my Hyundai Tucson - 87K miles in 3 and a bit years, never any problems except about 3 weeks ago when the clutch suddenly failed (first one ever in umpteen years) turned out to be the dreaded dual mass flywheel, Hyundai GB covered it under warrenty!!

Having the towbar fitted in about 10 days - will report on that - and then must get some miles on it as we are off to France with the caravan in June.

Took a couple of photos, if I can work Out how to, I will add them... (no I can't...)

Hi Millstone, GREAT news and welcome to Yeti ownership.

If you're having trouble posting photos, send them to me and I'll be happy to post them for you.

It might be that you're not yet a 'Freedom' member, in which case you will not be able to.

If you would like me to post photos in the meantime them send me a PM and I'll return it with my email address.

It might be worth checking with your dealer that the towbar fitting is not a problem. See;http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/201912-towbars-again/ about problems some of us are having.

Enjoy millstone!
