Another wheel question!

Featured Replies

I still havent got my head round this alloy wheel carry on, but I'm pretty sure these will be ok, just not sure of the pcd and dont know how to get it.

7,5jx17H2

Does anyone know if these will fit?

Thanks ;)

you need to know if there 5x100 the et is between 38-32 and the center bore is 57.1, the size will physically fit

The PCD is the most important bit of info you need, without it it is impossible to guess, the next most important size is the ET of the wheels, centre bore size (you need 57.1mm) then the width and finally diameter.

7,5jx17H2 breaks down into:

7,5j this it the width of the wheel (7.5")

x17 this is the diameter (17")

So now you need to find out if they are 5x100 PCD (Fabia fitment)

Then the ET, which will tell you if they will have sufficient clearance or if they will catch.

How will the pcd be displayed? I've asked the seller and he just came back with 7,5jx17H2, will there be another setr of numbers somewhere?

Theyre ET 56 so its going to need adaptors. Would you think thats feasible? Still waiting for the pcd, the lads just checking.

The PCD will say either "5x100 PCD" "PCD 5x100" or just "5x100" these will be in a similar place to the figures he has already given you, what car were they previously fitted to?

The ET is quite high, so you may need spacers to bring them out a bit.

yeah essentially they'll sit right back in the arches and possibly given the difference between 32-38 and 56 you'll probably need spacers to push the wheels out to make sure they clear your brake calipers.

The PCD will say either "5x100 PCD" "PCD 5x100" or just "5x100"

PCD is essentially the number of holes and either (I can never remember) the distance between them or the distance from the centre.

so a Fabia is 5 holes 100mm apart, with mk5 golf onwards and mk2 octys being 5x112 so they are further apart and would need adaptors to fit.

Or as an example my Ibiza is 4 x 100 so doesn't actually have enough holes to take the second set of spiders I have in the garage!! lol

Do you fancy selling them? :p

Great, I'm glad I didnt take the risk then. I did suspect they would be 112.

Yes the MKII A3 is 5x112, the MKI A3 however does use 5x100 but as you have found out they have quite a lot of ET.

Jeeze you really don't get it! 4x100 won't fit your Fabia!! :D :p

I will have a set of 16" spiders for sale at some point once i've refurbed them and decided if i prefer black that i have now or whatever new colour i do the second set in
