Featured Replies

Currently own Fabia Vrs with mods below but have the opportunity to Lease a brand new car car which i run for 6 months the return and lease another choosing my next car six months in advance

To give a rough idea of prices

Octavia Vrs TSI £116

Golf GTI TSI £160

Golf GTD £160

Audi TT 2.0 TSI £170

Audi a4 3.0 tdi £280

What would you do?? Keep the current car or sell up and lease for a few years

not sure about leasing, prices always seems to be steep to me, will you have to trade in the fabia or will you be looking to sell?

If I could get those prices I'd do it ?

Where are they from ?

Especially changing every 6 months ?

Is there any deposit / lump sum up front ?

No deposit, no lump sum it's through the Vag employee lease car scheme,

I thought it seemed quite cheap but wanted more opinions!! Thanks

Yes - you'd normally be looking at about double those prices (and be committed to a 3 year lease and be required to pay a deposit)!

Seems like a really good deal to me, especially the Golf GTD, pretty similar to the vrs fabia, only better I'd say.

Depending on the small print £27 a week for a vRS is a bargain not to be missed, can you afford NOT to do it???

I will have a look at the small print, I need to pay my own insurance through their company so will look at costs first. May need to order the Vw and audi but they can source me an octavia in a week or so,

Thanks for the advice so far

Seems an extremely low monthly charge for the vRS! But I suppose if it's a VAG employee scheme....

As you say, just a case of reading through the T&Cs and smallprint extremely carefully. But on the face of it, with a private Fabia sale out of the way, it seems like it would be a decent path to follow emoticon-0148-yes.gif

An A4 3.0 tdi is normally somewhere about £550 to lease! Seems like a great deal (not just the A4, but all of them)

Thanks guys very helpful info! Some of their prices seem strange, a golf 1.6 tdi bluemotion is more expensive than a Leon fr tdi!!

might be due to demand for the bluemotion being greater than the Leon

  • Author

think your spot on there mate, decided pending Terms and conditions to order an Octavia Vrs TSI and run it for 6 months then maybe swap back to diesel. Will get my Fabia Advertised when the order has gone through

Thanks for the advice

That's the only logical reason I can think of. Perhaps if there's a factory delay on them as well?

Because if they're more desirable 2nd hand (as I might reasonably expect the Bluemotion to be over the Leon), then the monthly lease payment should in fact be lower, to reflect the fact that the car will be worth more at the end of the loan period.

Or maybe they've got a load of surplus Leons they're trying to shift cheap via this staff route.

That's also a good shout!

Might have thought some A3s might have been at a decent rate too? Pretty long in the tooth now, even since it's radical 'facelift' emoticon-0143-smirk.gif which was a while back too now, and new one due next year?
