Interior removal

Featured Replies

Ok - finally got my new seats all cleaned (3 times with a vax and Meguiars APC)

How do you remove the front seats?? I don't have a spline socket!!

Unfortunately you do need a spline socket. I borrowed one from my local garage to remove them and then replaced them with high tensile allen head bolts.

If your clever or lucky or even both you can get an allen key to fit. Thats how ive got mine in and out everytime :)

M10? (I think) spline is the only tool you should use. Its worth investing in a spline set as its surprising how many spline bolts there are in a fabia. M8 on the slam panel, and various spline bolts in the head. No doubt there are more.

Yup four M10 bolts per front seat, they are thread locked in so you need a good fitting socket, if they round off your in trouble.

I used an 8mm Allen key in mine, no issues with rounding either.

I usually have my spline's to hand, but made do when I couldn't find them!

No bother - splashed out on a complete set of spline drives

If you're taking out the drivers seat, You'd be aswell as getting an underseat storage box! It's only a tenner or so!

I like this idea. Part No please.

I'm currently on my phone, So it makes navigating difficult! There is a guide! Try a search for 'underseat storage' If you can't find it I'll root around when I get home and post a link! Anyway all the relevant info is in that thread! Happy hunting!
