Hi all, greetings from sunny Sunderland. I've just taken delivery of my first ever Skoda and as it's a company car I've gone for the Octavia Greenline 2 saving both me and the company money so everyone is happy.I went for Aqua Blue and it's already had one or two admiring glances from the neighbours thankfully none of whom are car thieves(as far as I know).

My first drive was a bit strange because until yesterday I was driving a Focus 2 litre Zetec which was a bit nippy to say the least.However I'm sure I'll be fine once I get used to the fact that trying to put a car into sixth gear when it doesn't actually have one is not something which it advises in the manual. Having said that one massive advantage is the amount of boot space I now have.Yippee,no more leaving files and record cards on my back seat.I now have room for the chicks.......ok so I've got a good imagination and I'm less George Clooney and more Mickey Rooney nowadays. A bloke can still wish can't he?

Anyway,my first impressions are excellent(especially my Gary lineker and Alan Hanson ha ha)so I'm looking forward to my first long trip to see just how much fuel I'm saving.
