Outside Air Temperature sensor

Featured Replies

Hey folks, I had posted this in an old thread, but then I realised it was in the Octy II section, so I thought I'd post it again here, in case anyone missed it that might have a better idea of what I'm on about :)

Recently my temperature started to just read --.- C so I went to look for the sensor and it looks like it may have come off or something. I think I was looking in the right place: here's a couple of photos I just took:

Is that the cable for the sensor that's just hanging loose there? Should the sensor itself be screwed into that empty screw hole?

Hope someone can help.

Cheers

On mine, that empty screw hole in the top right of the second picture has a star head screw that holds a small metal plate that hangs in the gap to the left. There is a round hole in that plate that the end of the ambient temp. sensor clips in to.

yup your temp senor is missing, screws on as stated but its not actually on your cable there!

Looks like the connector has gone AWOL too.

we sell loads that go awol, if i remember rightly its about £33 with the plug and repair wires to match

Cheers for the replies guys. I wonder where the hell it went... :p

Well, time to go find a new one - anyone know the part numbers I'd need by any chance?
