Just to say thanks to all those that have given me help & advice in the past, even though I haven't been on here all that long :p

Missing the MPG from the Fabia, the 350 mile drive to Newcastle I got 56mpg average.

On the way back in the BMW I had an average of 38

But I don't do nearly as much driving as I used to so I can live with that :)

Thanks again,

Chris

Cracking engine in those! Respond well to a remap too ;)

becoming quiet the second hand buys those 5 series, Im not a beemer fan but I do like a 5 series top class mate

That's the plan.

Remap & some M5 alloy wheels :)

And a good polish, covered in swirl marks :o

Can anyone recommend a place in the south that are good at remapping?

Would prefer a live map on a dyno.

I like that plan very much... B)

Hello C.D-vRS

Your in a totally different zone with a BMW compared to the humble Fabia.

38mpg is good for all that luxury, just sit back and enjoy.emoticon-0148-yes.gif

Good Luck.

Nice buy emoticon-0148-yes.gif

I'd go for the alloys fitted to the V8 545 and 550 models myself, rather than creating an M5-wannabee :)

Enjoy it. It's the auto box on them that tends to knock the economy a bit, as that 3.0d is pretty economical considering the power and engine size. But overall that's still not bad going for the size of car.

Give Ben a shout, as he can remap BMW's after looking at his website

Nice bud. looks like you'll be comfy wherever you drive.

You can spec these on the later 530ds too 535d is the engine to have twin turbo

Oh yes, they're an option wheel elsewhere in the range. Just that they're my personal favourite OEM wheel for the E60 emoticon-0148-yes.gif

id love a 535d or 335d. but yeh go withe 18inch m pack alloys rather than the m5 ones :)

We had a motorsport company in Hereford do a 135d that was awesome so quick, just about fitted in the engine bay
