voice activated dialling

Featured Replies

Ive just fitted a Columbus system and OEM Blue tooth to my 2010 Facelift Octavia. I have been led to believe that you can voice activate the satnav and phone system, can anyone confirm this and let me know where I can get information on how to do it. Ive had a look through the manual and not found anything..

Thanks for any help

Press the button on the top right and wait for the beep, then speak your instructions. Doesn't work for me as I don't have OEM bluetooth...

It may be that you require a certain firmware revision too, but I'm sure someone on here has more knowledge about it that I do

If you look at the manual for the columbus unit page 61 onwards gives basic instructions for using voice control

HI,

I have looked here https://mediaportal.skoda-auto.com/resource/documentation/manuals/en/Olders/Octavia/Navigation/A5_Octavia_Columbus_NavigationSystem.pdf and at page 61 onwards but cant find anything relevant. I tried pressing and holding down the button suggested earlier but it did nothing.. Any other suggestions? Also the radio signal isnt very good and I seem to be getting quite a bit of interference. I am thinking maybe one of the cables isnt seated properly at the back of the unit?

Thanks again for all your help

Cheers!

Try this manual...

Columbus

You need to have the bluetooth telephone prep and an an additional wire run to the back of the columbus from the microphone in the telephone prep to get it to work, Ben at Shark did mine and it works a treat, very useful feature to have for business use.
