Need to buy spring tomorrow

Featured Replies

Anyone knows how big is the gap between the top of the tyres and the arch (in cm)? As the Fabia is coming this week end I want to get some springs and shocks tomorrow and need to check if 2cm would be enough or too much

Springs will lower 25mm

Causes no problems what so ever, you'll probably wish you went for coilovers, i ran mine around -60mm no problem

Any lower and you need to drive like a granny and ruins the fun side of the car

Would love to go for coils but the car will have to remain practical  and fun to drive without the feel of rolling over at every corner, DOM has advised on some spring and shock that would lover me by 20mm

Does anyone know? Google is not of much help tonight...

I have never fitted any lowering kits but i would assume 20mm would not make much difference!!

That is what I'm thinking, the spring and shocks are going to be mainly for handling (the looks come with it)not sure if 20mm is worth £400 might go for 40mm even with some weight in the boot shouldn't be a problem

If it was me i would go for the 40mm option.

40mm option will only lower vrs 25mm as vrs is 15mm lower than other fabias ;)

I suspect the 20mm kit is a 35 mm drop on non vrs fabias

So many things to learn!! :D

In this case the 20mm and a ARB should do?..

Have read many times, that fitting an rear anti-roll bar increases stability quite a bit.emoticon-0148-yes.gif

Rarb imo best mod u can do handling wise

Recently had Koni FSD and Eibach ProKit fitted to mine. Rears looks to be exactly where I want it, but the front still seems a bit too high. It's definitely lowered at the front though - can't slide the trolley jack underneath the beam thing any more without lifting the car up by the arches!

Don't think I have any pictures to hand at the moment either, sorry  Could get a crap quality phone photo...
