Share my experience of ordering parts from AMS (Allams)

Featured Replies

Ordered part on Thursday 2nd June and money taken from Paypal immediately.

Chased order yesterday by email asking when it would be despatched and tracking info.

The only communication I had was from Paypal this morning telling me a refund had been made from Allams?

Phoned Allams and told Skoda no longer supply - would have been nice ( Customer Service ) had Allams taken the trouble to email or phone me to tell me!!

I will not order anything else from them.

Don't waste your time with "Skoda" - my local dealer couldn't even supply a rear interior light bulb.

VW have the lot.

So the essence of your complaint is that you ordered a part from Allams on Thursday 2nd June and they almost immediately (bearing in mind the weekend) refunded the money on 8th June because Skoda no longer supply the part?

Bit harsh?

Used Allams a couple of times there usally a bity cheaper than most and never had any issues with what I have ordered.

NO - that is not the complaint I quoted in my original post. The fourth line in my original post makes it quite clear.

My complaint is that I had to phone Allams to ask why I had been refunded - why did Allams not contact me (they had 2x Telephone numbers for me) and explain - I would call that Customer Service?

I already knew that this part (Headlamp Protectors for an Elegance) was no longer available from Skoda - from my own MAIN DEALER. Allams were advertising this exact part on their website so I ordered it believing they had one from old stock. If Allams were relying on Skoda to fill the order it would have taken 30secs to check on a PC - as my Main Dealer did NOT 4 days.

I also note that Allams are still advertising this part on their website???

Another interesting point is that Allams only refunded AFTER I had chased for a despatch time and tracking info.

That was my complaint.

Final update:

11.10 this morning (15th June) received email from Allams aying my order has been despatched.

11.40 this morning (15th June) I receive another email saying order cancelled - not bad only taken them 10 days to tell me.

Some people and some organisations are a waste of time. There's competition out there - vote with your feet.

I'm looking at a Toyota to replace my town car - so far, very impressed.
