Hi everyone,

I've been patiently waiting for my build date to be announced and my dealer called me today to tell me that the build date is at the end of August ...but the front parking sensors will not be installed since the factory has put a restriction to install them only on the "Experience" package (i got the Ambition package)!!

I asked why and the excuse was that due to the crisis in Japan there is a shortage on sensor supply... (I don't get it though since they are available if you just pay extra!!!)

I also asked if we could get the car built and then (when the problem is resolved) get the sensors installed by the dealer. He said they could do it but the Bolero radio wouldn't show the sensor diagram!!

GUYS, DOES ANYONE HAVE A CLUE WHY THIS CAN'T BE IMPLEMENTED AFTERWARDS??????

I honestly don't get it... you have the sensors PLUS you have the Bolero radio...... what is missing to make the graphic representation work????

I'm really frustrated since this is a feature i was really looking forward to use!!!

Has anyone heard about this story before??? And do you know if I can make this work despite their lame excuses???

Same thin happened to me, I ordered the SE version with Park Assist and this was deleted from the order, only available now on the Elegance version.

If you added the correct hardware later Id personally have thought it would just need some coding to make it work properly.

Thanks for the thread!! At laeast this means that the dealer is messing around with me and there is an actual component shortage!!

Is there a chance to find an aftermarked replacement for Park Distance Control (PDC) to Optical Parking System (OPS)that works with the Bolero(...probably made in China) ???
