Lamda sensor problems

Featured Replies

Hi there i seem to be getting some lamda codes on my car with an engine light, when i bought the car i knew it had been lying for a long time and the battery was lazy so i tested it and it needed replaced, i replaced my battery incase it was giving the sensor a bad reading.

The engine light comes on from time to time not everytime i start and drive the car! the 2 codes are to do with low heat and low voltage from what i remember. Do the lamdas give any problems? or is this another problem and just throwing up these codes?

any help much appricated

thanks

ok the light is coming on after 2 or 3 starts and is showing the fault codes p1103 and p1116. Sensor 1 bank 1 one is low performance and one for circuit open. Am i looking at a sensor or do they sometimes break wires? also is bank1 senor 1 pre or post cat?

oh and i forgot to add its a Octavia vrs mk1 1.8t

thanks for any help lads

Sensor 1 Bank 1 is the pre-cat one.

I expect you will find a 10 digit Bosch Part number on it, you can use this number to source a replacement.
