Dipping mirror on reverse?

Featured Replies

Is the dipping passenger mirror on reverse only possible to code in pre-fl Mk2 Octavia with the electric seat? Or can it be done on any Mk2 Octavia?

Finding it very handy in the loan X1 after work car pranged, and may help stop SWMBO kerbing the alloys on our car.

Can't be done on my fl elegance, I've set it but it has no effect.

Bag goes that idea then. Thanks anyway Matt

Only possible if you have electric memory seats as it needs the memory function to know where to set the mirror position to each time.

You don't need memory seats

You do require a MAX version door controller which has memory function. And the motor in the mirror needs to be a memory version. Both can be retrofitted

Do you have an idea of price & part numbers needed?

very expensive, best to look for them second hand. Will also require extra wires to be added as the current miror motor uses 3 wires and the memory version uses 7 wires

Thanks. Seems a bit expensive and agro to do.

Perhaps the Mk3 will have it as standard on some specs.
