Agh! Key won't turn on new Yeti

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Just had a slight issue with my new Skoda Yeti - I inserted the key into the ignition, but it wouldn't turn. The car was unlocked with the alarm off.

I tried getting out, locking and unlocking, but to no avail!

Am I missing something obvious?!

Thanks in advance!

I'm sure someone else recently had this problem. As far as I can remember the left if for a short period of time and when they went back to it everything was fine.

No idea what the cause is though.

Steering column lock?

Have you tried giving the wheel some sharp tugs while trying the key?

All sorted now! Thanks for all your help guys!

Hopefully it will loosen up over time!

Don't forget to depress the clutch...

All sorted now!

What was it then? I take it the steering lock was on!?
