Over boosting

Featured Replies

Had my car on the dyno on saturday and the person who dynod my car said that there was a slight overboost, he asked how long i have had the turbo on the car and i said a month so he said its probably not N75 valve slow reacting.

So he said to try the car on normal roads as he said dyons put the car under more of a load.

Will vagcom pick this up and does anyone near me have it to se if there is a problem?

I dont want my nice new hybrid going pop

How much was the overboost did he say ?

logging group 115 on vagcom/vcds will show you requested/specified boost and also the actual boost

also log group/block 003 to show what is going on with the air flow.

I don't know who has vagcon/vcds near you a look here might help

They said it was showing 1.99bar but the sensor could only read this amount or something?

They reckon it could be more, but they said it could be different on an actual road due to the dyno putting the car under more load.

They said if block 11 is logged then i will be able to see what the boost is being requested compared to what it is actually producing. I take it that your both on about the same block.

Thats the only thing i could thing of is something to do with the air flow as the turbo is a month old.

Gaz vrs has very kindly offered to meet me to see if we can find the problem, will report back wednesday evening after its been done.
