Well im happy seen as I came form a MKI Octavia vRS.

filled up the car week last friday did a bit of pottering about over the week and then on following friday decided to go to Bristol to see friends for the weekend.

Topped up the car on the saturday and I had a overall figure of 46.9 mpg over 292 miles and thats with heating/ventilation set to Auto.

I wonder what MPG figure I would have got with just the straight run to Bristol.

Usually get just short of 50 out of my Superb pd 100 as well. On a recent run through to the black forest including quite a bit of 130km/hr averaged 51.8 mpg - not bad for a big old bus

I get between 58-62mpg on mine PD130.

Daily commute home-work-home and also shopping on weekends.

Well the max speed limit on my way to work is 100km/h ~62miles/h so I don't driver faster. The optimal speed is somewhere at ~90km/h.

I found it's all about driving style, gear changes, tyres and general condition of the car.

went up to Yorkshire sat last week and returned sat this week did 547 miles with some pottering about and managed an average of 49.1 MPG would hate to see what the old MKI Octavia vRS would have managed

Still cost £70.00 to fill the old girl up when I got home
