If I was living in Latvia, I'd rather go for fat tires and softer suspension rather than lower and harder

But if still sure about going down - check Germans they have a lot of topics about lowering, springs etc.

I am also looking to lower my Superb V6 (salach).

i have found a company in Sheffield who'll make bespoke springs.

You need to take the car there, they'll measure up and make progressive lowered springs for £175 plus VAT.

They reckon it takes 15-20 days to make them. They can't fit them, but the recommend a place just up the road to do this.

They're called Coil Springs Ltd, 72 Attercliffe Rd, Sheffield, S4 7WW 0114 275 8573.

I just have not had the time to get down to Sheffield yet to get the ball rolling.

The only other way that's been suggested to me is to fit lowered springs for the diesel Superb, but am not sure if the spring rates/loads are the same or similar enough to get away with this...

I have found no aftermarket companies doing lowered springs for the Superb, so I guess these are the only options.

Let me know how you get on.

It would be really helpful if you could provide more info - H&Rs website does not even list Skoda, so it would be interesting to know what you have ordered (can you get the part number off whatever dealer you have ordered through?)

Thanks

Just spotted that AMD Technik are offering lowering springs for the 3.6 V6. Am going to call them tomorrow so will post details asap.

AMD springs only lower by 15-20mm and cost about £190, excluding fitting/4 wheel alignment (for this they estimate 4 hours @£55ph excl VAT) making a grand total of £450. Personally for this money, I'd want more than 20mm drop...

AigriTTO - are these H&R springs specifically for the V6 3.6 4x4 Superb, no dealers I have spoken to in UK can see H&R springs listed as available for the V6, only for the diesels?

Our Superb has got Eibach -30 springs. Cost us around £300 supplied and fitted.

Where from?

Can you confirm your Superb is a V6? All the dealers for Eibach I have spoken to say there is no springs available for the V6...

Sorry, just noticed your details say you have a diesel. We were specifically discussing/looking for information on 'V6' springs which seem to be rarer than hens teeth!

V. (6) Nice!

Phil

Looks good, is it the rears that are rubbing? they would better "IN" a bit more.

Have you rolled your arches? This may cure the problem?
