Changing headlight bulbs

Featured Replies

With all this talk of changing DRLs to LEDs, has anyone upgraded their headlight bulbs?

I've done the Octavia with Philips Extreme in both dipped and main beams, and wondered whether anyone has done their Superb - if so how easy is it to do? On the Octavia the easier way is to completely remove the headlight unit from the car that makes it much easier to gain access to the bulbs.

My new Superb won't have the Xenon lights but I much prefer to upgrade the standard lighting.

Not needed to do mine as I have xenon's, but I have changed my sidelights to LED's and there is enough room to get your hand in there without the need to remove the headlights.

I put 100W globes in the high beams that supplement the xenons. It has been my experience in many different cars that changing the high/low makes far more difference than changing a dedicated high beam globe. Be aware that globes behind plastic lenses need to be of the type that have a low UV output.
