FMIC Pipes what to do

Featured Replies

some of you may know i recently took my fabia upto 210 bhp with a hybrid turbo and a fmic i blew the pipes off a couple of times ,nothing major put it down to settleing in tweaks i replaced some of the clamps for better onesthis morning i was pushing it on alittle (late for work) and pop i blew off one intire pipe including two silicone connectors the weekness was the silicone they ripped in half unfortunatly meaning i ran over the top of the metal pipe so i had to nurse it home.

What it the answer here a welded pipe but then u will still have bother somewhere as u need to connect it somewhere (weakest link and all that)

Any help for views !!!!

Sorry can't really help but just bought a FMIC and need pipework now.

which pipework do you use?i wouldn't think that is normal that those keep popping

Make sure all the pipes are clean when u get round to refitting them and use mikalor clamps, that should do the job

Spray pipe ends with hair spray before fitting the hoses and clamps.

And make sure it's good quality silicone, the eBay pipes are normally far from good quality.

Have a look for either Forge or SFS hosing instead of the poor ebay stuff. Get the hard pipework bead rolled which will help clamp the hoses to the pipework a bit better.
