Were you driving on the level ? Not going over any rises or troughs in the road ?

There has been reported problems with VRS CR holding back when going over rises ot troughs in the road.

Mine does it.

Ive had that on those lil parts of the roads that make you go "weeeeeeeeeeeeeee"

Mine did something similar a few weeks back, I was coasting down a slight hill in traffic and when I came to accelerate in order to overtake a slow Jazz, Jazz drivers are the worst I find although that's a different story, it hesitated then started to accelerate then hesitated again before returning to normal and that was it. I took it for a good, spirited drive that evening and didn't really think anything more of it.

Mine does this, it jerks this usually happens when just kind of coasting along maintaining a constant speed. It only does it occasionally, I took it to the dealers the first couple of times it did it but of course it behaved perfectly at the dealers. I have just learnt to live with it, for the record I have tried different fuels and it does it on Shell and BP. A slight press of the accelerator usually stops the problem. I can't say I'm happy about it but I think the dealer would have to drive the car for a week to experience it and that is not gonna happen! Besides which the dealer would probably drive it harder and then it wouldn't happen.

I posted on here about it and some people seemed to think it was normal for DSG cars.

i was going to get a manual as well.........bloody hell

Surging isn't normal for a DSG, you have some sort of problem, mines done 20K miles in the last 10 months and not misssed a beat, let alone ever surged....and its remapped :wonder:
