Management light, and issue starting

Featured Replies

I have owned my Octavia VRS estate for a couple of months now with no issues what so ever, well nothing mechanical. Today, been fine until took son to nursery, drove there no issues, stopped, did business, return and start car, but it had issues starting, first off it wouldn't, then when it did engine management light has come on. Now it wont start every time 2/5 times it wont fire. but it's running fine, full boost everything..... any ideas? as not really been a VAG owner before so scratching head. I know it's been hooning down with rain, but surely cant be damp, under bonnet is dry as the sahara.

HELP!

CEL on -> codes available -> find someone with VCDS. Sorry I can't help more, but they're only golden, not crystal.

Seems to have rectified itself now as just been out and started fine, no light, must have been damp. DO they have under guards for the engine? just trying to work out if mine is missing or they didnt come with one.

but cheers.

They have one whcih goes about half way under the engine bay, maybe 12 inches long.

The diesels have one which goes all the way back to the subframe.
