I'm thinking of buying an 09-ish 1.9PD TDi Octavia. Reading around the web, I found a lot of stuff about problems with VAG PD engines fitted with Siemens piezo injectors. Reading more carefully, it looks like the 2.0PD fitted to the Passat (and Superb, I think) has Siemens injectors and seems to suffer a lot from electrical failure of the injectors. The 1.9PD unit in 09-ish Octavias is also fitted with Siemens injecors - think they changed from Bosch solenoid ones in around 05. Anyway...

Are the 09-ish 1.9PD TDi Octavias proving reliable?

BTW, I currently have a 9 year old petrol Mondeo and just want to be sure of a few things before I jump ship
